The Leagues & Bounds Initiative
Lead by the South West Community Development Council (CDC) and curated by OuterEdit, the Leagues & Bounds initiative is a collaboration between local artists, fashion designers, and the Republic of Singapore Navy to engage the South West community through Arts.
4 Master Seamstresses, 2 Fashion Designers, 6 Illustrators, South West CDC, and the The Royal Singapore Navy
Featuring a range of patterns, artwork and stylish bag designs up-cycled from decommissioned Navy uniforms, the Leagues & Bounds initiative sheds some light on the beauty of what collaborations can achieve – let alone the abilities of Singapore’s local creative talents working together regardless of skill or upbringing, to give back to the community.
Entirely Sold Out
After a long process design, refinement, production, and anticipation, the Leagues&Bounds bags were finally available for sale in April 2016. By June 2016, we were elated to hear that ALL units had been snapped up and that proceeds had been since given to charity.
OuterEdit would like to thank every party involved in making Leagues&Bounds a possibility, and for lending us their valuable time, resources and skills to encourage others in our community.
